My approach

Wedding photography that feels, not poses

Your wedding day is one of the most emotionally rich days of your life. My job isn't to direct it — it's to witness it with a camera, quietly and attentively, so that when you look back at the photographs, you feel everything all over again.

I work in a documentary style, moving through your day as an observer rather than a director. I'm looking for the real moments — the nervous laugh before the ceremony, the way your grandmother wipes her eye during the vows, the first dance when you finally let go and stop worrying about being watched.

"I don't want you to remember posing for photographs. I want you to remember your wedding day — and find it waiting for you in the images."

I'm also deeply rooted in Bath. I know its light, its seasons and its most beautiful corners — from the meadows of Prior Park to the hidden gardens of the Royal Crescent. That local knowledge shapes every photograph I take.

The experience

What to expect

01
Getting to know you
Every booking starts with a relaxed conversation — in person, over coffee or by video call. I want to understand your day, your venue, what matters most to you, and how you feel about being photographed. The more I know, the better I can serve you.
02
Planning together
Once booked, I'll stay in touch as your day takes shape. I'm happy to visit your venue, talk through the timeline, and advise on the best spots for portraits. I'll walk your ceremony space before the day so nothing catches me off guard.
03
The day itself
I arrive early, stay late and spend the day as a quiet, observant presence. You'll barely notice I'm there — and yet everything will be captured. Bridal prep, ceremony, portraits, speeches, first dance, and the late-night moments most photographers miss.
04
Your gallery
Within six weeks of your wedding, you'll receive a beautifully edited online gallery — typically 400–600 images — with full download and print rights. I edit with a consistent, timeless style: true-to-life colours, clean tones, and nothing overdone.
05
Prints & albums
Your gallery is just the beginning. I work with a professional fine-art printer to offer handcrafted albums, wall prints and framing options. These are the things that will still be on your walls in 30 years.
06
After the wedding
I stay in touch. Anniversaries, new arrivals, family portraits — many of my wedding couples come back over the years, and I love building those long relationships. Your story doesn't end on your wedding day.

A real wedding

Grace & Daniel — Lacock Abbey

Summer 2025 · Wiltshire

Grace and Daniel chose Lacock Abbey for its extraordinary sense of living history — the kind of place where every doorway and cloister feels like it holds a story of its own. We had a golden summer afternoon, and the light through the abbey windows was like nothing I've seen before.

The ceremony was intimate and deeply personal. Grace walked in without music — just the sound of the space around her — and the silence made every moment feel suspended in time. These are the conditions where the photographs almost take themselves.

Frequently asked questions

How far in advance should I book?
Popular dates — especially summer Saturdays — can book 12–18 months in advance. I'd recommend getting in touch as soon as you have a date in mind, even if everything else isn't confirmed yet.
Do you travel outside of Bath?
Absolutely. I photograph weddings throughout the UK and am happy to travel internationally for the right occasion. Travel costs are discussed transparently at the time of booking.
What if it rains on our wedding day?
Rain makes for beautiful, atmospheric photographs. I've photographed stunning weddings in all weathers — and I always come prepared. Some of my favourite images involve puddles, umbrellas and misty gardens.
How many photos will we receive?
For a full-day package, typically 400–600 edited images. I never impose an artificial limit — you receive every image that tells a part of your story, and nothing that doesn't.
Do you shoot video as well?
I specialise in photography only — and I believe doing one thing exceptionally is better than two things adequately. I'm happy to recommend trusted videographers I've worked alongside at Bath weddings.
Can we print and share our photos freely?
Yes. Every package includes full personal use rights — you can print, share, post and gift your images freely. The only thing I ask is a credit if you share them publicly.
